Vintage Peruvian Chulucanos Pottery Swan Vase Artist Signed

Vintage Peruvian Chulucanos Pottery Swan Vase Artist Signed Chulucanas pottery from Peru. These distinctive ceramics are handcrafted using pre-Inca techniques. The pottery is made in the town of Chulucanas in northern Peru. The unique black or rich brown color is achieved through a smoking process using mango tree leaves. The designs, which often feature abstract or natural motifs, are created using a technique similar to sgraffito, where a white slip is applied and then rubbed away in specific areas before firing. Many pieces are signed by the artisan who created them. Beautiful piece in good vintage condition. Please see/enlarge all photos for details as well as approximate measurements.
