#1974 Long-tailed Tit Photo, Postcard Size

This is a postcard-sized print of a long-tailed tit.
This long-tailed tit was photographed during a trip to Biei in winter.
The weather in Hokkaido in winter changes rapidly, much like mountain weather.
Even in Sapporo, a major city, it can suddenly blizzard so hard you can't see across the street, only to clear up 30 minutes later.
On this day in Biei, the sky was bright overcast, with snow falling on and off.
Even though it was cloudy, the sky was bright, a white-leaning gray, and the pure white snow on the ground reflected the bright overcast sky.
There was no wind, and the falling snow drifted down slowly, slowly.
When I heard the calls of a flock of long-tailed tits in a quiet forest, I headed in the direction of the sound.
My footsteps on the snow would make the flock's calls disappear, so after a while, I would stop, silence my steps, and listen for the direction of the calls.
This is how I usually approach the long-tailed tits.
Sometimes they would land on a low branch, and I would be overjoyed.
This long-tailed tit turned its head with a very beautiful gesture, and its expression is lovely.
